Candidates applying for the Certified Preventionist (CP) credential must participate in an Oral Interview.  After all application requirements have been met and the application fee has been received, the PCCG Administrator will schedule an oral interview with the candidate.

Currently, all CP interviews are being conducted virtually using Zoom. It is imperative that CP candidates be familiar with this online meeting platform and that they have Internet access for the interview. In the future, PCCG plans to reinstate in-person interviews. The interview will be conducted by two prevention professionals certified by PCCG at the CP or ICPS level.  Questions are based on the six Prevention Performance Domains and on issues related to ethical conduct and cultural competence.  Sample questions will be emailed to candidates in advance of their interviews to give them an idea of what to expect.
